Hi Maria , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into entrepreneurship was built on a foundation of service. I spent over 20 years as a probation officer, where precision, accountability, and guiding people through important life moments were essential. Those same principles now shape my work as a notary business owner.

I started my notary business while still working full-time, initially offering general notary services. As I became more familiar with the industry, I saw an opportunity to build something more specialized and scalable. I became a certified Loan Signing Agent and expanded into estate planning signings, apostille services, and remote online notarization—allowing me to serve clients in a more comprehensive and flexible way.

What began as a side venture quickly evolved into a full-service mobile and online notary business. After retiring from my previous career, I made the decision to fully commit to growing Notary Signing Solutions. Today, I serve individuals, families, attorneys, and title companies across Central Texas—including Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, and the Greater Austin area—providing both in-person mobile services and secure remote online notarizations. I’m also proud to offer bilingual services in English and Spanish, helping ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for a diverse range of clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most entrepreneurs, the journey hasn’t been without challenges—and those experiences have been essential to my growth. Starting my business while working full-time required learning a new industry, building confidence, and managing every aspect of the client experience.

One of the biggest lessons for me was learning to truly value my time and the level of service I provide. Early on, I said yes to nearly every opportunity. Over time, I became more intentional about the work I take on and the clients I partner with—focusing on relationships where professionalism, preparation, and communication are a priority on all sides.

Transitioning from a long career into full-time entrepreneurship also required a shift in mindset. I had to learn to trust my decisions, establish clear standards, and operate with consistency. Those lessons helped me refine my processes and build a business that is dependable, efficient, and aligned with clients and partners who value a high level of service.

I own and operate Notary Signing Solutions, a mobile and remote online notary business serving Central Texas, including Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, and the Greater Austin area. I provide a range of high-trust services, including real estate loan signings, estate planning document notarizations, apostille facilitation, and general notary work.

What sets my business apart is the level of professionalism, preparation, and care I bring to every appointment. My background in public service shaped my attention to detail and my ability to guide people through important moments with clarity and confidence. Whether I’m working with an individual client or supporting an attorney or title company, my focus is always on delivering a seamless, well-executed experience from start to finish.

I specialize in time-sensitive, detail-oriented assignments where accuracy matters. Through structured workflows and clear communication, I’ve built a process that allows clients and partners to rely on me to get it done right the first time.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building a reputation as someone who is both professional and approachable—where clients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout the process.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on continuing to grow and refine my business in a way that supports both my clients and the professionals I work with. This next phase is about building on a strong foundation—expanding my services, strengthening relationships, and continuing to improve the systems that support a consistent, high-quality experience.

I’m especially focused on expanding within the estate planning space and building long-term partnerships with attorneys who value reliable, detail-oriented support for their clients. That’s an area I’ve been intentionally developing, and I’m excited to continue growing in that direction.

I also plan to continue increasing my presence throughout Central Texas while maintaining the level of professionalism and care my business is known for.

For me, it’s never just about completing a notarization—it’s about providing a reliable, professional experience people can trust during moments that matter most.
