Daily Inspiration: Meet Felicia Morales – Venegas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Morales – Venegas.

Hi Felicia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a first-gen Latina with a Master’s degree, but even with that, I didn’t grow up having open conversations about money. In my household and in our culture, you just didn’t ask questions like that.

So I had to learn a lot on my own. And once I did, I realized how many other women were in the same position.

That’s why I started Latina Cents. I wanted to create a space where women can ask the questions they were told not to ask, get real about their finances, and start building wealth at any stage of life. Because the truth is, it’s never too late to start.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building something in a space where I didn’t grow up with guidance has come with a learning curve.

Creating content around financial education is especially challenging because you’re not just building a brand, you’re also building trust. You have to be intentional about what you share and how you show up.

A lot of this has been new territory for me, but I’ve leaned into it. I’ve learned by doing, testing what works, and figuring things out firsthand. That process has really helped me grow, not just as a creator, but in my own financial journey too.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create financial content focused on helping women, especially Latinas, build strong financial foundations and long-term wealth. My content breaks down everyday money habits like budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management in a way that’s realistic and easy to apply. I also provide practical tools like my budget template, which gives women a step-by-step framework to manage their money and take action immediately.

I’m also a full-time Project Manager at a credit union, and I run Latina Cents as a side business, which allows me to stay grounded in both the corporate and real-life financial experiences I share.

What I specialize in is making money conversations feel normal and accessible, especially for women who weren’t taught this growing up. I focus a lot on behavior and consistency, because that’s what actually builds wealth over time.

What I’m most proud of is creating a space where women feel seen and comfortable asking questions they’ve been afraid to ask. That trust means everything to me.

What sets me apart is that I’m not just teaching theory, I’m actively living it. I share real numbers, real decisions, and real-life experiences as a working mom building wealth in real time. It’s honest, it’s practical, and it’s relatable.

Any big plans?
My long-term goal, and something I openly share through Latina Cents, is reaching financial independence and building a $1M net worth. For me, that’s about creating stability, options, and long-term security for my family.

In the near future, my focus is on continuing to grow Latina Cents, expanding the impact, and helping more women take control of their finances. I’m also committed to staying consistent in my own journey, building wealth in real time while bringing my audience along with me.

Right now, it’s less about making big changes and more about staying disciplined, scaling what’s already working, and continuing to build.
