Hi Maria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
About five years ago, we started IMSpaces with a simple idea: to create a place where people could celebrate life’s moments without the usual stress that comes with planning. What began as a small venture has grown into a unique, welcoming venue now located at 707 W Vickery Blvd, Unit 102A in Fort Worth.
We designed the space to feel different – something more personal and inviting than a typical event hall. It comfortably hosts around 60 guests and comes with thoughtful décor that gives every event a special atmosphere without requiring much extra effort from our clients.
One thing that really sets us apart is flexibility. We make it easy for people to bring in their own food and drinks, so they can customize their events exactly how they want. Whether it’s a birthday party, baby shower, or small celebration, our goal is to keep things simple so guests can focus on enjoying their time together.
Behind it all, we’re a small but dedicated team of just two people. For us, it’s not just about renting a space – it’s about helping create memorable experiences.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At one point, we were operating two locations, including a space on Magnolia Avenue that we really loved. It had beautiful natural light and a great atmosphere, but it was only about 800 square feet, with limited parking, and formal seating wasn’t included in the rental. Over time, we realized those limitations made it harder to fully meet our clients’ needs.
So we made the difficult decision to close that location and focus on our W Vickery space. It was definitely bittersweet because the Magnolia venue had a lot of character, but we knew consolidating would allow us to provide a better overall experience.
We brought over some of the most loved furniture pieces and design elements, so we could keep that charm while offering a more functional, accommodating space. In the end, it was about making the right long-term decision for our customers and the business.

At our W Vickery location, IMSpaces has really grown into one of the go-to spots in Fort Worth for intimate celebrations. From the beginning, we didn’t want to be just another blank rental space used only for production or photoshoots – we wanted to create something more intentional and ready-to-use.
Our vision has been to offer a space that’s already set up to inspire – whether someone is hosting a photoshoot, a small event, or even a workshop. We’ve carefully curated furniture pieces so clients can easily create the right mood without having to start from scratch.
The space itself is very versatile. Each wall has its own distinct design – brick, wainscoting, white drapes, and clean white walls – so people can get different looks all in one place. We’re also a natural light studio, which is a huge draw for both photographers and event hosts.
One of the standout features is our industrial ceiling, which allows clients to hang décor or props and really customize the space. So whatever vision they come in with, we’re able to support it and help bring it to life.
What were you like growing up?
Illia and I both moved to the U.S. from Eastern Europe over a decade ago, each bringing a different perspective. I grew up in a big city, while Illia is from a smaller town by the sea, so we’ve always had a mix of influences in how we see the world.
What we have in common is that we’ve always been very active and curious. We were both into sports like tennis and BMX, as well as music and travel. That curiosity and creativity naturally carried over into how we approached building our business.
