Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey in the events industry began in 2011 when I earned a degree in Meeting and Event Planning from Austin Community College. From the beginning, I was drawn to the unique combination of organization, creativity, and relationship-building that the industry offers.
In 2022, I took the leap into business ownership and purchased Peachy Keen Photo Camper just as wedding season was beginning. The events industry was rebounding from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and people were eager to gather, celebrate, and create memories together again. It was an exciting time to step into the business, and we hit the ground running.
Since then, Peachy Keen has continued to grow. What started with our signature vintage camper photo booth has expanded to include two additional photo booth experiences, allowing us to serve more clients and a wider variety of events. I love that this business allows me to combine my professional background in event planning with my passion for creativity, design, and creating memorable guest experiences.
While I am proud of what we have built, I certainly haven’t done it alone. My husband, Mark, plays an important role in the business, and I am incredibly grateful for the support of our family and friends who have encouraged us every step of the way. Their support, combined with the trust of our clients, has helped turn Peachy Keen Photo Camper from a small business opportunity into a thriving and growing company.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was purchasing the business during a period of uncertainty. We were emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic, and many people were still hesitant about large gatherings and events. At the same time, I was balancing the demands of running a growing business while working a full-time job. Building the company often meant working evenings, weekends, and every spare moment in between.
Despite those challenges, I remained committed to the vision I had for the business. Each event, client relationship, and successful booking reinforced my belief in its potential. In 2025, I took a leap of faith and left my 9-5 job to focus on the business full-time. That decision allowed me to dedicate my energy to growth, innovation, and creating exceptional experiences for our clients. Looking back, the challenges were instrumental in shaping both the business and my confidence as an entrepreneur.
As you know, we’re big fans of Peachy Keen Photo Booths. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
One of the most unique aspects of our business is our vintage camper photo booth, a one of a kind experience that guests simply don’t encounter at every event. More than just a photo booth, it serves as a conversation piece, a gathering place, and a memorable attraction that helps create an unforgettable atmosphere.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to creating experiences, not just photos. We believe a great photo booth should enhance the energy of an event, encourage connection, and give guests a fun and interactive way to celebrate together. Whether we’re at a wedding, birthday party, corporate event, fundraiser, or community gathering, our goal is to create moments that people will be talking about long after the event is over.
At the heart of everything we do is a desire to make every guest feel welcome, included, and part of the celebration. We love bringing people together, creating authentic moments of joy, and helping hosts deliver an experience that is as memorable as it is fun.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned throughout my journey is that I am capable of doing hard things. Challenges that once seemed overwhelming have taught me resilience, adaptability, and perseverance. Along the way, I have learned to trust my instincts, have confidence in my abilities, and embrace opportunities that push me beyond my comfort zone. Taking calculated risks has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, and each experience has reinforced the belief that meaningful growth often begins where certainty ends.
