Check Out Zandra Ross’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zandra Ross.

Hi Zandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born at Lackland AFB on May 1, 1979. My mothet and father were both born and raised in San Antonio and much od my family still resides there today. I lost my mom in 2013, right after I preached my first sermon, but still have her mother as one of my biggest cheerleaders.

I answered the call of God in 2013 and was led into a wilderness season of transformation — a place where I was stripped, refined, and forged beyond the foundation of my Baptist upbringing for a greater apostolic assignment. I did not return the same; I emerged commissioned.

In June 2014, my apostolic mantle was publicly affirmed by seasoned generals in the faith, confirming what Heaven had already declared.

I Founded of Color of Royalty Ministries, Inc. in 2015, a ministry birthed through personal loss and transformed into divine purpose. What once caused me pain became power, and what was broken became a movement — calling sons and daughters into identity, wholeness, and an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

In 2019, I started the journey of writing my first book, Letters From a Daughter’s Heart, that I recently self published on my 47th birthday. I have since signed with Christian Faith Publishing and am currently workin on an expanded version of my book.

I stand firmly alongside my husband, Stephan Ross — my covering, covenant partner, and strength for over 25 years. As a mother and leader, I strive to model faith, resilience, and Kingdom order in both my family and ministry.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Even at just three months old, my life was in danger due to spinal meningitis. Throughout my journey, I have endured knee replacement surgeries, arm surgeries, and mental health challenges. Today, I also live with FND (Functional Neurological Disorder), a condition that causes seizures, episodes of paralysis, and many other daily challenges. Despite it all, I continue to persevere with faith, strength, and determination.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a civial servant and started that journey on 12/18/2006. I served as a servant leader for over 10 years and transitoned into an analyst positioned after my second knee replacement at the end of 2024. As an Analyst, I assist with the training needs of employees, managers and executives in my organization. I create training plans according to the needs of each function. I motivate, support and where I am needed at all times.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I give my husband, Stephan Ross so much credit to doing life with me from the age of 18 years old. He has been my strength, corrects me when I need it, loves me and cares for me through all my health challenges. Jesus Christ is my best friend, without Him I would not be anything. Without the Lord, I would have lost my mind and lost all hope. I thank Him for my daughter, Shanice Ross, she is my little bestie and cheerleader. Shanice has pushed me to heal for me and love myself. I also, thank God for my son, Stephan Ross Jr., his determination inspires me. My daughter-on-love Gillian, is si thoughtful and I am grateful that my family is growing.
