Trae the Barber started off his haircutting journey at 12 years old in 1998. It started off as a hobby then it became a craft. He went from cutting hair in the neighborhood in Dallas to abroad. Started from Middle school, high school, college and the military Trae learned and perfected his craft from years of apprenticeship. His family helped and coached him along the way. He was known as the underground master barber. Trae the Barber is currently sponsered by a number of hair product companies. Recently he has opened up a new business located in Pflugerville, Texas. The name of the shop is called The Barbershop Company 15812 Windermere Dr #500A Pflugerville Texas 78660. This is only the beginning for his barbering journey. He hopes to franchise his businesses domestically and internationally.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had many struggles and obstacles along the way. But I know it was a part of the process. I had to rebuild my name and brand after an ex-business partner took advantage of me on a bad business deal. There were people who didn’t believe I could cut hair or wouldn’t last. But I had to focus and perfect the craft. Today here I stand a master barber.

The Barbershop Company is a newly built barbershop located in Pflugerville, Texas. We specialize in high-quality haircuts and specialize services. We are here for the community.
I pay attention in detail and do what others won’t. This is the reason I have over 2000 clients and service people across the United States. We just don’t offer a haircut. We have hair products, plus many more. You will definitely leave the establishment with some valuable information!!
The Trae the Barber brand has grown to a massive name and household name.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m also a contemporary artist. Painting and drawing was always my number one passion.
I served in the U.S. Army for eight years.
