Today we’d like to introduce you to Tally Dilbert.
Hi Tally, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an Afrolatina Content Creator, artist and photography living in San Antonio, Texas. I moved to San Antonio almost five years ago to study at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I was interested in created content which is why I became a blogger/photographer. My main goal was to work with local brands and little did I know, I would be working with huge brands like Express, BudLight, Theory, Pandora, etc. I truly aspire to get invited to NYFW and other major fashion events in the world to represent the AfroLatino community. Representation matters to me and I always try to involve Black women in everything I do. Growing up, I noticed the lack of representation in the media and now that I have a platform, I want to be able to highlight my community through fashion, art and photography.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There’s been a lot of ups and downs mainly because some days I would feel very secure and passionate about my craft but others days, I would find myself feeling insecure because I would overthink and believe that I was not enough for the fashion influencer space. Throughout the years, I’ve learned to throw out that insecurity and believe in the passion that I felt in me
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Content Creator who focuses mainly on fashion but also shares funny videos and culture. I also have my art and photography business which has opened so many doors for me.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned that you have to take leaps of faiths! It may be scary at first but you never know which opportunity will change your life for good.
