Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Lloyd.
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a horror and paranormal lover and a former publicist, I was looking for a way of combining all the things I love with my filmmaking career. So Ethereal Horror Fest was born in 2020.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far, things have been pretty smooth! I love organizing things so this just comes easy for me. The future challenge will be to grow the festival but I have big plans!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I gave up my work in public relations, where I ran my own company for ten years to start producing films in 2017. After producing a number of films, mostly horror I decided to start Ethereal to give back to the film community and help other aspiring filmmakers in genre film with a focus on women in film.
I ran EHF 2021 nine months pregnant!
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is staying up late to watch horror movies in my bed, there was no TV on demand then and they only played after midnight!
