Today we’d like to introduce you to Viorelia Antonov.
Hi Viorelia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My business started a couple of years ago where I was getting ready for my daughter’s birthday. She really liked Minnie Mouse so I decided to make her one. Because I always had a patio for organizing parties, I decided to take total control from decor balloons, food and many more. When it came down to decor, I did not want to use a generic (often used) Minnie decor. So I decided to make my own. I had a Cricut cutting machine so I designed my own Minnie Mouse bow version and ears and created plates. During the party, I got a lot of compliments over those plates and some people asked me where did I buy it 🙂 and they suggested for me to start selling them.
As a kind of joke and out of pure curiosity, I started to sell those plates on Etsy platform. And they just simply started to sell like hot cakes:)
Then k decided to put my heart and imagination further into my online shop – as I call it, my happy job!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
First two years shop went great, but then Etsy changed the algorithm and my sales slowed down a lot. Then I had to put my marketing degree in use:) started to dig in deeper in marketing research and learned a lot down the road.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, online shop goes well and along the way, I do decorate events like birthdays, baby shower and bridal shower. I always put my heart and soul in every event or order I get. I take it personal like it’s my own. It’s a truly passion of mine.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very determined as a kid, always curious and often very dreamy. Very sociable with lots of friends. When I was a kid, I watched the movies “wedding planner” with Jennifer Lopez and I simply fell in love with the idea of being an event planner… I was simply dreaming of a job like that. (Back then, it seemed very unrealistic cause the country I lived in there was no job like that).
