Hi Leslie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Upscale Social started a couple of months after having our first baby girl, Olivia. I was scrolling through Instagram one day and came across beautiful, Aesthetic Birthday rentals, but were located in different states. Out of curiosity, we tried to look for similar rentals in Austin and couldn’t find any.
After extensive research, we decided to take the leap of faith and purchased our first modern bounce house and soft play area. From the first post, we received such a positive response in such short time. It all happened so quickly, from 2-3 events on the weekend to now servicing 10-15 events. The support from our family, clients, followers have gotten us to where we are today. Not to mention the crazy hours that we put into our business. We show up everyday ready to provide quality service and a personable experience. We are always looking for the next trend and our goal is to provide unique rentals in the Austin Area. Our growth has allowed us to not only provide modern bounce houses and soft play, but we have also expanded and now offer party props, luxury balloons styling, and party decor.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been smooth sailings. It’s hard trying to find time with our daughter’s family and friends while trying to grow a small business. My husband and I run this business full time. From cleaning, customer service, emails/calls, setting up, it can be difficult to juggle all of these things when it’s only two people. Our goal is to hire help within these next two months to continue to Grow.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in Providing Modern bounce houses, chic ball pits, luxury soft play areas and upscale party decor. We’re known for the uniqueness in our products, the all white bounce house, We are the first To carry the largest ball pit and bounce house combo with a slide and ball pit. We set ourselves apart by being the only one stop shop in Austin to all your rental and decor needs. We take pride in providing the best customer service experience starting from the inquiry process all the way to the end of our client’s event. Not only does our excellent customer service set us apart, but we also take pride in the cleanliness and sanitation of our products. As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of safety and cleanliness. We have invested a lot of time in perfecting our brand. We want our branding to match the aesthetic and represent our company.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We started off as Soft Play 512 when we first opened our business, but when we noticed that there wasn’t a one stop shop in Austin, so we decided to expand and rebrand to Upscale Social to provide that one stop shop experience.
