Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Balderas Jr.
Hi Francisco, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Thank you for this opportunity, I’m honored to have been chosen to share my story.
In 2005, I started working as a painter at the age of 17 years old. I dropped out of high school to continue to work as a painter full time.
I learned the ins and outs of painting and I loved it! I decided to try a little something different so I went back to school, got my GED, went to dental school and I worked as a Dental Assistant. Even though I liked working as a dental assistant that just wasn’t for me.
I decided to get back to what I really loved, painting. I got a job as a painter and continued to work for a painting company until 2017. In 2018 I started F & F Painting.
I subcontracted for a local company in Austin while still working on my business on the side. I worked long hours, day jobs, night jobs, weekend jobs. I worked hard to get my company name known.
Fast forward to the beginning of 2022, my business started taking off. I started advertising my business more and I started getting my own clients.
Most of my clients are located in the Bastrop and Cedar Creek area, but we proudly serve Austin and all surrounding areas. I am very proud of what I am accomplishing. I am looking forward to what the future holds for F & F Painting. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of my family, friends and clients who refer my business to their friends and family.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, working in the painting business can be tough. There was times that I thought I wasn’t going to be able to pay my mortgage and employees because I had no work.
All I could do was keep pushing through. Advertising and showing what your business is capable of doing on social media is what is helping F & F Painting grow.
Definitely not easy, but 100% worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
F & F Painting specializes in interior and exterior paint. Anything from painting the outside of a home or a porch to completely transforming your kitchen cabinets, stairs or any room in your home.
We also specialize in pressure washing. Exterior of homes, buildings, sidewalks or fences are just some of the few things that we pressure wash.
How do you think about luck?
I believe if you work hard anything you in-vision for yourself can become a reality.
