Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Gonzales.
Hi Aaron, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started in high school in a video production class. After learning the basics of filmmaking, I took to the next level and competed in video production competitions. I was a part of a team of five and helped us win the state competition and advanced to the national level. We competed with other schools across the country with our video. I took my skills to the collegiate level and produced varies types of videos to highlight every sports team at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. I had the opportunity to travel with the teams across the country and document their seasons for three years as a student worker. After graduating with my bachelors degree in Business Marketing, I decided to open my own videography business with my twin brother, Andrew Gonzales. We both go hand and hand with producing video content for companies, universities, and special events. Now we run a media company that covers sporting events, weddings, real estate, commercial, and special events. We got to where we are by networking with sports information directors, working hard and consistently perfecting our craft.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was never a smooth road. There were many late nights and long hours of editing videos, Just starting up our business, we were reaching out to so many companies offering our services and most shut their doors on us. Their were times I was working a 9-5 job and right after I got home, I’d go straight to working on my business until 11pm, every day. I was working on clients projects, website, social media posting, and reaching out for more clients. Another challenging obstacle was during the pandemic. Businesses were closing down, events were being rescheduled, and nobody did not want to get in contact with each other. Our business took a hard hit but thankfully sports were still allowed to participate.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
