Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashton Steele.
Hi Ashton, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out taking senior photos for my friends towards the end of my time at Baylor University. After I graduated I continued pursuing my photography business and eventually branched out into wedding photography!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I definitely think it’s hard to have a photography business in the age of Instagram. As well as there just being an opportunity with social media for so many creatives to showcase their work! It’s hard not to compare yourself to others sometimes, but you just have to remember YOU are nobody else!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer that serves the central Texas area! I lived in Austin growing up as well so I love any excuse j get to come to town! I started out taking senior photos and since then I have done proposal, engagement, wedding, family, lifestyle, maternity, newborn, event and portraits! I love that my job always brings me something new and different + all the wonderful people I meet along the way!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Austin is just such a unique city. The atmosphere always makes me want to go out and explore. Whether it’s a favorite spot of mine like McKinney Falls state park or exploring somewhere, I’ve never been before!
