Hi Carolina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ten years ago I came to America because I needed to provide to my children, my husband was killed 11 years ago, so I had to come by myself to work and send money to my kids. I started cleaning houses, earning $380 every week much more than Mexico
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I was difficult because it was hard finding clients, some days we had work, some days we don’t. Also, I have to pay my bills here and also send money to my family in Mexico.
We’ve been impressed with P.O.C. & Ortega Services, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After cleaning houses with a partner and then working for a cleaning company for five years, I decided to create my own company called P.O.C. & Ortega Services, LLC, which my husband and I are specialists in residential, commercial and industrial cleaning. We believe that each job has to be done the best possible, looking for perfection, so every client can be pleased and also can recommend us to another client. We are proud of every client is happy after the finish. We would like the readers to know that we are a family company looking to grow and give our services to all of Austin and its surroundings.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Since I was living in Mexico, I had done cleaning jobs, I like to pay attention to details, I learned by myself.
