Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Remar.
Hi Jordan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been performing for over 10 years now. I began my journey as a fire dancer when I was 19. I went to a festival and saw other performers there and just knew I had to be like them! My first experience as a performer myself was street performing in “Printer’s Alley”, a famous alleyway that features secret entrances to former speakeasy establishments in Nashville, TN. I always set up in front of this blues bar there. I learned what it meant to capture the attention of an audience, and I fell in love with the art of performing. Eventually, I left Nashville to tour with my former partner and musician Govinda, which began a magical time in my life where I travelled as a dancer & contortionist with his musical project. I learned so much about the music & entertainment industry while we were on tour. Tour life was intense, chaotic, and exciting. I loved transforming that chaos into art and made many friends along our journey. Eventually, I became more inspired to create my own work and developed my solo acts of fire contortion & dynamic aerial hoop. I began to book more solo performances in both Austin and around the country. This year, I decided to form my entertainment company “Illuzia” , which focused on creating full stage shows featuring groups of acrobats, contortionists, aerialists, fire dancers, and more. Illuzia also specializes in providing entertainment for corporate events, private parties, and other special events of all kinds.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have definitely struggled through various things along my journey. I spent most of this year rebranding this project, and I have to say that is the biggest challenge I have ever experienced. I had a lot of momentum built with my previous entertainment company project but decided a rebrand was necessary to reflect my vision more clearly. I am really blessed that during that process, I still received many opportunities to develop performances with my group. I am so happy that we have relaunched the brand now and are able to market our services more easily again.

Illuzia is an entertainment company specializing in creative performance art entertainment. We book all kinds of performers for corporate events, private parties, and other special events. We are great with communication and have the ability to create magic very quickly and efficiently, and therefore able to book entertainment for last minute events with ease. We also constantly strive to transcend reality with our ethereal costuming, skilled technique and movement, and creative storytelling through our performances. We are unique in our expression. The way we bring the audience to the edge of their seats & bring our passion to life is truly special. We are proud of the professionalism & talent that our entertainers bring to every performance.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
One of the books I constantly review is “You can heal your life” by Louise Hay. It reminds me that thought patterns create the energy of my life. Positive affirmations are especially effective for me & my outlook on life. I also appreciate being a part of the Lizard Yoga studio as a Yoga Teacher, as they have many special events and healing modalities that benefit my life greatly. I love utilizing to the sauna & cold plunge there as well as the sensory deprivation tanks for meditation.
