Check Out Eesha Avula, Srivinya Karusala, and Adithi Aavula of Fight4Rights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eesha Avula, Srivinya Karusala, and Adithi Aavula.

Hello, Fight4Rights; thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re a group of high school sophomore students from Vista Ridge High School! Our team consists of three people: Eesha Avula, Srivinya Karusala, and Adithi Aavula. We have created a non-profit organization named “Fight4Rights” to obtain funds and help underprivileged children in India who are suffering access to basic rights such as education, family, healthcare, nutrition, protection, and participation with the help of Cry America and Eesha Foundation. We began our process two years ago, starting with our initial project of, “FundandFill,” which was raising funds and creating prototypes for malnourished children in India with one of the top NGOs, the Akshaya Patra Foundation. We have been holding events not only in Austin but even branched out abroad. We have inspired and motivated many young people and have been awarded as brand ambassadors for many non-profit organizations. We have implemented many healthcare and child participation camps, created prototypes, and created mid-day meal scheme programs. What gave us a push was that we all have been provided with so many resources and have many things that we are thankful for, which many kids don’t have the opportunity and access to because they are living in many poverty environments, which leads to the lack of education and healthcare which is vital to a child at such a young age, especially for development. This year’s goal is to raise at least $40k to help these children in India and educate our audience and participants during our events, seminars, webinars, and so on!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a smooth road for the last two years. Still, we faced some struggles because the pandemic made it hard to conduct events sometimes because of people’s fear of attaining COVID. Hence, we had to follow COVID-19 protocols and switch many to internet websites such as Zoom and Google Meet to conduct webinars. The number of children struggling also went up during this period, which caused us to put great effort into helping these kids with necessities.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
One of our team members, Eesha Avula, started her non-profit organization, “Eesha Foundation,” striving before the pandemic hit. She has received many awards from CEOs, Political Members, Business corporations, and even other non-profit organizations titled “Youth Brand Ambassador.” Her mission is to lead, educate, uplift, inspire, and empower children worldwide, opening doors so that each person can define what it would mean to lead their best life and fulfill their possibility for greatness. It is a lasting commitment to teaching, learning, and growing. She has also helped research programs regarding cancer and has supported women’s empowerment and so many other medical-related issues by partnering up with big foundations. “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with millions unemployed and desperate for basics, including food, shelter, and access to proper health care, the Foundation has partnered with organizations addressing this crisis to get people the care they need. We are all in this together.” I’m most proud of the straightforward fact that I was able to help so many people and provide them with resources to excel throughout life. Many people do charity work for a title, but the fact that you can help a person is the best feeling you will ever get. I’ve consistently grown up with my Dad, Mallik Avula, always helping and giving back to the community. He’s one of the most well-known and has a vast network in Austin. He has inspired and motivated me from such a young age to always help others first, no matter what. Having a helping nature and creating a difference is a vital aspect that this generation should have.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?

Compared to others, we had matured very fast along the way, realizing a lot of skills and mentalities that not many people had attained at that age, making us stand out.
