Hi Bree, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Hi, I’m Bree & I’m 25 and living in Austin, Texas! I’m from Fort Stockton, Texas, and I graduated from Texas State University in 2019. I work in healthcare marketing and love that I can be creative in the healthcare space. I am an Austin Content Creator who loves to share different things on my TikTok/Instagram page @breeortega__ It started with just being able to create videos that I love on the platforms. Still, as I began to post more, I noticed I could make videos people love in Austin.
Most of the time, on TikTok, a creator has to have a niche, and I chose a nontraditional way by not choosing a niche and posting things that I enjoy about my life and Austin. You can find foodie reviews about restaurants in Austin, gym vlogs, new homeowner vlogs, and places I enjoy around Austin. I’m a huge foodie and decided to start my own foodie Instagram page recently called @breezybites__
The goal for my pages is to help inspire and show people that Austin is a gem and there are still places that make Austin unique. I always tell people that as soon as you get here, you’ll notice the charm that only Austin has. The genuine “Keep Austin Weird” mentality is probably why I won’t leave for a long time.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When I started creating content, I noticed that my videos were not doing well in engagement & I began comparing my videos to other creators. After I started to develop more & focus on my brand and “what makes my content unique,” I noticed that my videos started to do well. I always feel “I could do more,” but I always remind myself that things will work out in time. Something that I would tell other small creators: create, create, create. There’s no such thing as bad content. The more you create, the better you get at it. I hope to make content creation someday my main source of income because this is genuinely something I enjoy doing.

I specialize in creating a content lifestyle, foodie, and Austin content. I’m most proud of the community I built with my TikTok page. I believe most of my followers are within Austin, and I hope to continue to show spots around Austin that people & I love.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I come from a family of 6 and look up to my older brothers. Since I come from a large family, my parents have installed a “work together” & “work hard” mentality. I will always try to work hard and ensure my brand is entirely proper to me. I also am a huge pug lover! I have two pugs, and they are my world. (Staci and Levi).
