Meet Erin Fabacher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Fabacher.

Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. You can include as little or as much detail as you’d like.
My entry into the real estate world was a matter of happenstance. I originally got my license because I started a real estate tech company that was the first ‘consumer reports’ model for the multi-family sector, and needed my license to operate the company. During that time, I realized that I enjoyed helping friends and family find their next homes and investment properties. I decided to sell my company in 2018 to move into residential full-time, and ten years later, I have not looked back! I absolutely love exploring new homes and embracing their different architectural styles. I feel very lucky that I get to help my clients find homes that meet their needs and will make them happy.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The real estate world is anything but smooth. The industry is constantly changing, which requires me to anticipate changes and stay aware of the market in order to help navigate my clients through the various steps in the home selling or buying process. I feel very encouraged when I sell a home knowing that I likely learned from and overcame a new challenge along the way.

We’d love to learn more about your work. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I am a luxury real estate agent in Austin specializing in off-market homes. One unique thing I believe I am known for as an agent is how I am able to help my clients find their dream homes in their desired neighborhoods, while also meeting their lifestyle goals and price point. A lot of this comes from how much I value my relationships whether that be with my clients, other realtors, or investors and builders, which helps me to get to know my clients and truly listen to their needs during the buying or selling process.

I take great pride in showing my clients unique homes often before other brokers, agents, and the broader market even know about the listing. I keep a close eye on the market to ensure my clients’ listings are seen by the best in the business. My diligent research and memberships in private networking groups allow me the inside track on private transactions, pocket listings and global relocations. By partnering with Douglas Elliman, one of the largest real estate brokerages, I can leverage the firm’s unparalleled marketing resources and powerful brand to the benefit of my clients.

What role has luck (good luck or bad luck) played in your life and business?
I believe that preparation meets opportunity, more than luck. I work hard to prepare myself for everything I pursue, making sure I am an expert in my field while also keeping hold of the part of me that genuinely loves connecting with others. When moments of opportunity strike, these values drive my confidence to succeed.
