Today we’d like to introduce you to Wade Mitchell.
Hi Wade, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started Wakesurfing in high school. Being from Texas and having a passion for surfing was odd because there was not much swell in Texas. But when you’re young and hungry, you find ways to make your dreams come true. Aside from chasing hurricane swells in the Gulf of Mexico, my Dad bought a boat when I was 16, and my friends and I quickly learned that you could surf behind a boat! What got us the most stoked was that you could surf for as long as the boat had gas in the tank, and the wave was virtually inexhaustible. What started as essentially a training tool for ocean surfing, wake surfing became my full-time passion!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
After struggling to become a film director in California, I finally said to hell with this and gave wake surfing another try. What bred from that grew a love of boats, lakes, fit people, and the overall lake vibe I have come to know and love so much over the last few years.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wade’s Waves has only been around since 2020 but has a pretty impressive track record for only that short time. I’m very proud of what I have accomplished in just 3 years. I am also a certified United States Coast Guard Boat Captain!
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
