Life & Work with Aso Breezey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aso Breezey.

Aso Breezey

Hi Aso Breezey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
What I’m pursuing wasn’t always my dream. As a kid, my uncle was always freestyling at the table with me and my younger brothers. It was his dream to become a rapper. I had always paid attention and supported him until I eventually started rapping with him. Due to his passing too early, I decided to make his dream come true by achieving his goals. With every goal I had accomplished for him, I felt I was getting better every song I had dropped. I still can’t believe it sometimes that people are out here listening to me flow due to his teaching. As of now, though, I have accomplished his dream, and now it has become mine to push it further than I can imagine.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In all honesty, my answer is no. Just rapping or performing would be simple and easy, as people put it. But there were many things I didn’t know that I had to learn on my own. My struggles were the money, the support, marketing, fees, the travel, and the main one, connecting & networking. With me knowing all this, I just had to hustle differently.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I go by Aso Breezey, and I am not a rapper. I am a Music Artist. I put my pain, soul, passion, and dreams into every song I make. In other eyes, my music is usually known for my spazzing throughout the songs. I have a high-pitched, aggressive, hyper tone that energizes folks. I’m a versatile artist with many different flows depending on the instrumental. I am most proud of those who support me by listening and engaging with my music. The proudest moment is hearing them singing/rapping my lyrics happily, like they can feel my stories like they were the ones that lived it. I made it to a point where if my uncle were alive, he would be very proud of me for pursuing his dream.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The first person I would thank would be my cousin Lil Alvin. Me and bro been through the mud together. Bro believed in me and still put his faith in me, hoping we’d make it somewhere someday. He believed me so much he saved up $500 and was like here, bro, go get some studio session or shoot a video with it; whatever it’ll take, I got you. Next, I want to thank my blood brothers Tee, Trigga Tra & ApeGang Reek for stepping out with me for every performance I had. Knowing they are with me turns me up a knot.
