Today we’d like to introduce you to Yazmin Rodriguez.
Hi, Yazmin; we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started customer service at age 19 at a well-known banking institution. From there, I was able to learn and move my way up in the industry. Striving to learn more and keep developing my customer service skills, I started doing Real Estate; it was challenging at the beginning because it was a whole new career, and I had to start from zero, putting my name out there, building my pipeline, I was fortunate, to begin with, family transactions, and after that, I started getting referrals, from family friends and slowing they would send their parents, their friends, their children. I developed a great client. Being bilingual helped out so much just because our community gets help from someone who speaks their language, so they have that piece of mind, understand the process, and have the confidence to ask and have an answer in their language. Every transaction is different; I’ve learned something new daily, expanding to flips, new builds, and many other areas. It’s an honor to serve my community.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been easy to be where I am today; my biggest struggle is balancing being a full-time mom, housewife, and Real Estate Agent. I am grateful for all the support my husband, parents, and family have given me! All my clients also have those challenges.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Real Estate Agent who services Austin and all surrounding areas, specializing in home buying, selling, investing, flipping, and new building. What sets me apart is that I treat all my clients like family, and being bilingual also makes a huge difference and impacts my business. I am very proud of all of my accomplishments at such a young age, as well as I am a full-time Realtor and full-time mom; I have been blessed to bring my kids along to many of my events and work. That has also helped me connect with clients. I want my community to know that they are in great hands, and I will go above and beyond to make their dream come true.
What matters most to you? Why?
As a Hispanic Woman, I want to be a role model to all of the community; I want to be able to inspire and show how everything is possible with determination. Being a mother, a wife, and a boss is possible; it is hard, but nothing is impossible.
