Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Rollins.
Hi Emily, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Town Square was founded by professionals at a top national home healthcare provider, Senior Helpers. Thanks to their senior care experience, our founders realized that no company was meeting communities’ needs for a place for seniors to share formative experiences in a psychologically beneficial way, gather with their peers, and have a fun and engaging day. Personal and financial reasons drove my siblings and me to become one of the first franchisees with the hope of bettering our community. We researched options to care for our aging parents and found there to be no viable “in-between” to full-time assisted living and family care. Additionally, the cost of full-time care would be astronomical whether in an assisted living community or staying at home with a paid caregiver. With Town Square, our loved ones will benefit from affordable, socially enriching, and therapeutic solutions. With our team’s extensive background in services industries, we are committed to providing your loved ones the best environment to spend their time. With an aging population and more people moving into the “sandwich generation,” Town Square will benefit the Austin community for a long time. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and improve the quality of life for our members, their families, and our employees.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Due to our opening just as people were starting to feel comfortable with COVID-19 risks and as people were unfamiliar with adult day cares, we spent most of our first year educating our potential client base on the benefits to both the individual needing our services and their loved ones. Other challenges were a tight labor market as well as rising costs.
We’ve been impressed with Town Square NW Austin, Texas, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
- Our main goal is to allow seniors with dementia and other health conditions to live with their families as long as possible while providing their caregiver loved ones much-needed and affordable respite for as long as possible.
- In the Austin area, the average cost of in-home care is $35 per hour, and assisted living starts around $5,000 per month. We provide an excellent alternative for families with engaging activities, medical care, socialization, and nutritionist-approved meals for $14.50 and $18.75 per hour. As the community learns about what we have to offer, our business will grow for years.
- In just a year since opening, we are seeing the fruit of our labors through testimonials: https://www.townsquare.net/adult-day-care/texas/north-west-austin/testimonials/ and https://www.youtube.com/@TownSquareNWAustin
