Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Gonzalez.

Mark Gonzalez

Hi Mark, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I had a cold or the flu when I was 4-5 years old, I remember laying down wrapped in a blanket when “night of the living dead” came on the screen, I remember just being mesmerized by that world, being excited by the jumpscare set ups, the idea that it was a created world that brought so much emotion out of me I didn’t understand it at the time I just knew I was hooked instantly, as I grew older I would always write short horror stories and always wanted to be a storyteller for video games (story boarder) then after high school I went to college for photography and learned about the camera, ironically I originally wanted to go for graphic design and ended up in photography class (blessing in disguise) I did not complete my degree but something was always pulling me towards being creative, in 2011 I made a YouTube channel and was very inconsistent and in 2013 my daughter was born and she was the most extensive reality check ever, a new fire flamed to to become something great and to make her proud ,so I looked back to YouTube and I decided I wanted to be a game news channel and loved the idea of building a community where we can have discussions about specific games.

As I got deeper into trying to grow my channel so did my hunger to want to stand out amongst my peers on YouTube, I would always strive to do something no one was currently doing so with the mindset always be “different” creating and never settling I wanted to stand out, as the years passed I met one of my best friends Dontai and seeing his success not only was it the accomplishment he was hitting but seeing a friend change his life made me very proud and the flame only grew for me, more profound in my journey I met these 2 filmmakers ,they are easily the hardest workers I know, we instantly connected and started to create some of the most insane sketches/short films the platform has ever seen, Courtlan, Ryan and I set off to become (still in pursuit) the following greats in the filmmaking industry, in 2018 I was mentally checked out of my factory job, at the time almost felt like mentally I was always set in the future but physically I was in the present on autopilot, very depressed I remember making the decision that I would rather struggle pursuing my passion then live comfortably and be miserable there and then I was connected to a fantastic inspiration and lucky to call my now best friend Berlin (Berleezy), we created a sketch on super smash bros but live action and it was such a fantastic moment to work together, after we worked on that project together i came back to work but reality really set in that day and that weekend of filming was the final push I was looking for, I tweeted if anyone was looking for an editor and Berlin texted me and asked if I was serious, ohhh I was dead serious and started editing without skipping a beat, 2018 we continued working together growing and he introduced me to one of my other best friends Joe, the three of us created goals and had a plan to move to Texas together fast forward we were in Houston Texas with a notebook full of goals for that year and that year was officially the start of my content creator career.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I grew up in Pennsylvania. Growing up, I saw what the neighborhood did to certain people in my family and friends a lot of the time; they were unforgiving. My family has always motivated me to change everyone’s lives, especially my daughter.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a live streamer on Twitch and a content creator on YouTube. I specialize in filmmaking and am known for my animated personality on my livestreams; my creativity sets me apart.

Do you have any big plans?
I will be the top #20 Twitch live streamer. I am also writing my script for a feature film with Courtland and Ryan that we will sell and start production on to create the biggest podcast of the year with Berlin and Joe. I look forward to shaking things up in Hollywood as Rackaracka did with the film Talk to Me.
