Check Out Donna Loehr’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Loehr.

Donna Loehr

Hi Donna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Hello, My artistic skills started in 1984, finishing cosmetology school. Learning how to make people look beautiful and different using my creative skills and designing is a fun way to be me! My motto is “Art is in the eye of the beholder.” I started drawing anything I saw! Self-taught. Then, in 1990, I started adding color to my art! So hair and canvas are 100% me!

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Smooth road, I learned it relaxed my soul!

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I took some watercolor classes in 2000, and the teacher said I painted in detail; watercolor should be lighter!! She put my painting under running water to lighten it; I couldn’t do it, so I switched to acrylic. For more color and detail! It runs right along. Side of my salon! I love to design haircuts and add color for dimension! Love it!

How do you define success?
It makes the clients extremely happy, whether it’s my hair business or acrylic canvas creations, seeing a smile on someone’s face!
