Hi MaJo, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started bartending nine years ago when I first arrived in the States for school. It was a great way to meet folks and cover the bills, but blending creativity with the social buzz clicked with me. Fast-forward to 2024, and I’m preparing to become a licensed attorney in Texas. This new qualification is set to transform The Moving Booze. We cater to over 95 annual events, from large-scale weddings and corporate events to smaller gatherings. Our mantra is clear: every event is manageable for us!
In 2024, alongside our array of offerings, such as customizable satellite bars, our staff of professional servers, TABC licensed bartenders, our unique Bee Mobile Bar trailer with its engaging beer tap wall, and hands-on cocktail workshops, we’re rolling out legal assistance explicitly designed for mobile bar owners and small business entrepreneurs, inspired by the hurdles I encountered during my startup journey, plus a few other offerings that are on the works!
At The Moving Booze, we offer more than just a mobile bar service. We combine expert drink-crafting legal insights for fellow small business owners. We aim to ensure your events run smoothly and comply with legal standards, providing a comprehensive experience from start to finish. As we add these new services, we remain dedicated to supporting your event needs and continuing to expand and grow!
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s a challenging road! Navigating legal permits, battling the unpredictable Texas weather, and keeping our Bee Mobile Bar and satellite bars in top shape were just the starters. Then, there was the hustle to build a solid client base and the challenge of assembling a team of top-notch TABC-certified bartenders and servers. Each hurdle has been challenging, but they have taught me invaluable lessons, helping us refine our services and grow stronger as a team. We’ve kept shaking and moving through it all, ready for whatever comes next.
