Meet Blake Asaad of Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Asaad.

Blake Asaad

Hi Blake, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was ripped off by a ‘family jeweler’ when purchasing my own engagement ring. Incensed, I began researching diamonds, jewelry, etc because I thought I could help my friends avoid the same pitfalls. I basically made recommendations for friends in exchange for beer money. One thing led to another & I began importing stones on their behalf & eventually opening up my own ring design & jewelry manufacturing operation. The rest is history!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, it’s been smooth. I own other businesses & GOODSTONE is extremely smooth sailing compared to the others. I owe this to the nature of the job – I get to partner up with the best people as they enter an exciting stage of life (marriage) & aide them in crafting their dream ring. It’s awesome.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I owe & operate a fine jewelry brand, specializing in engagement rings, wedding bands, and other diamond jewelry. We’re known for a few things – mainly our diamonds’ cut quality, meaning their tier 1 sparkle, handcrafted durability, & elite customer service. In our 8 years of business, we only have raving 5 star reviews.

We’re also known for a handful of our original designs – mainly the East West Half Bezel solitaire collection (the design I’m most proud of) & the Triad ring with Ovals.

How do you think about happiness?
Getting a text from a customer after they’ve proposed. They’re never quite ready for how excited their girlfriends are to get the ring & are always elated.
