Hi Mystic Dance Crew, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
“Mystic Dance Crew” is a Dance team based out of San Marcos, Texas and was founded by Megan Humphrey, Jaravion Philips and Shayla Richardson , Three friend with a love and passion for dance. Upon our debut in January 2024, Megan, Jaravion and Shayla constructed this team to follow the Moto that the team still runs on to this day ;
“At Mystic Dance Crew, we are dedicated to transcending boundaries and captivating hearts through the universal language of K-POP dancing. Our mission is to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide, and to create a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates diversity, creativity, and the joy of movement.”.
With over 6 successful months under the teams belt , the founders as well as the rest of the team, strive to continue the growth of our team. With dance covers to long lasting friendships, through the mutual bond and love of dance. Just as it brought our founders together.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Mystic Dance Crew started with only our founders ,Megan Humphrey, Jaravion Philips and Shayla Richardson, as members. Slowly throughout time, the team was able to build its membership and experience. Starting from nothing, our founders continuously worked hard to provide dance and performance opportunities for the team and our members. With that admirable efforts, Mystic Dance Crew has had the opportunity to perform for big events including : “San Antonio Lunar New Year 2024″ , ” ARCSA , San Antonio Asian Festival at La Villita” , “KPOPNITE Kpop Prom” , ETC.
Along with that, Mystic Dance Crew successfully hosted a “Random Dance Play + Busking Performance” Event, at the K-Pop group, “ATEEZ”, Arlington Texas stop of the “Towards the light: Will to Power” Tour. We had over 200+ Fans present to enjoy our event before the concert. Our full performance video is uploaded to our YouTube channel if you would like to check it out!

“Mystic Dance Crew” is a dance team based out of San Marcos, Texas. We specialize in covering and performing various songs from the Korean Pop genre. Our team posts weekly covers on our YouTube channel of these covers. If prompted the opportunities, we also perform these songs or set up events for our members to perform their work.
Though everything “Mystic Dance Crew” produces is something everyone on the team is extremely proud of, I would say or 2nd place win in our First ever competition is definitely something the team holds with much pride. This Competition took over a month and a half to prepare for and extreme dedication from all involved. It was truly a moment our team will never forget.
Something that sets “Mystic Dance Crew” apart is that we aren’t afraid to take chances or try something new. As this team was only established January 2024, our whole journey is about trying and experimenting with things along the way. In the end our main goal is to always inspire and entertain audiences worldwide. To create a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates diversity, creativity, and the joy of movement.
