Today we’d like to introduce you to Honey Social Picnic Co.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our business bloomed from a mutual love for the outdoors, beautiful tablescapes and gathering around good food. Three months after meeting, we found ourselves at Lowe’s picking up everything we’d need to build our tables. We spent countless nights in the garage together inventing, building, and laughing, but the tables were only the beginning. We spent months researching products, materials and sustainable practices. If we couldn’t find something we absolutely loved, we’d make it. Quality has always been our number one priority, and that can be found throughout everything we’ve produced. We are so proud of the things we have created, and love most that we get to share it with others to enjoy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We definitely wouldn’t call it smooth by any means. There have been many times we have felt inadequate, especially because this business is so much more than creating beautiful tables. Sometimes we joke our job is not picnic-planning but rather social media managing and marketing. We have learned so much from our mistakes and continue to make them, but see them as course corrections and use them to re-align our business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We set up luxury picnics made to celebrate you. Whoever said a Pinterest-worthy party/proposal/date had to take so much work? That’s where we come in. The client fills out our inquiry form and we bring the event to life, taking care of the setup, cleanup and everything in between. As you sit with friends to celebrate, you are supporting many local small businesses as well as our mission to leave the world a more beautiful place through zero-waste practices. We are proud to offer sustainable options in a market we feel is so full of the opposite.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Confidence. We do best when we are confident that we can give the best to our clients. We have gathered together a table full of our favorite local and sustainable products to bring a picnic experience that is truly different. We love our local vendors and because of these things, we can confidently share with all of you.
