Today we’d like to introduce you to Tram Tran.
Hi Tram, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Tram, a pharmacist turned florist who found a different kind of healing through flowers! One that soothes the soul and sparks creativity. What began as a love for gardening blossomed into a passion for floral design and event decorating.
At Where Love Blossoms, every arrangement I create is a piece of my heart. My clients’ visions become my inspiration, and together, we turn special moments into unforgettable memories.
I spent my entire youth to chase one goal of becoming a great pharmacist. After getting my PharmD (pharmacist degree) in 2016, I spent one more year of residency at Baylor Scott and White Health and have been staying with the system since. It is a great company and I have great coworkers and bosses, but somehow I still didn’t feel fulfilled. And I kept thinking and thinking, then on a beautiful spring morning in 2022 while I was in my garden and I thought to myself, what if I work with flowers? That would be very fun because I love them. Then I started to be a decorator as a side hustle. One job led to another, and in 2024 I was able to step down and only work as a PRN pharmacist. I decided to be a full time florist/decorator and it was one of my greatest decisions
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning when I was still a full time pharmacist, full time mom and brand new to decorating business , there were nights that I have 3 hours of sleep, trying to finish the decor and full fill my main job and tend to my kids. I didn’t want to settle for just an okay backdrop or floral pieces. I wanted everything has to be perfect, which as a newbie it took a lot of time of trial and errors. I wanted to make all my clients happy and I put a lot of pressure on myself and didn’t let go of my mistakes, I chewed myself up if I did something wrong. Mentally, I didn’t know how to cope with this newly added stress level. Also, quitting a full time pharmacist job put a toll on me financially as well. I tried to justify what I used to make versus what I was making at the beginning of my decorator career and assured myself that I will be successful in the future. Despite all the hardships, I found my soul is very happy after each event, I am proud of what I made/created. I love being a part of a beautiful wedding.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a florist and event decorator. I am known for creating beautiful weddings and traditional vietnamese/Chinese tea ceremony for weddings. I am proud of my perseverance and creative mindset. My proudest moment recently was we were setting an outside wedding and suddenly we had pour on with a sudden thunderstorm which destroyed all the set up, and we only had 2 hours to redo everything. And we did it, It was an effort of the entire team and the bridal party to turn the wedding into one of the most beautiful weddings ever. I love working with my couples to understand their vision, let them tell their stories, I love to enhance their vision and make it to reality. I work with them closely to create their day uniquely just for them.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am a Buddhist, and I often listen to lots of Buddhism podcasts. I learned to listen to myself, to deal with all my struggles with an open and warm heart. Everything happens for a reason and I will handle them with kindness. Buddhism teach me to be patience, to be kind, and to be grateful with everything and people that are around me. Nice people bring me happiness, difficult people bring me lessons, everyone has their purpose in my life and I am grateful for them.
My favorite quote “Luck is where preparation meets opportunity”
