Hidden Gems: Meet Abigail Fristoe of Aesthetics and Lash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Fristoe.

Hi Abigail, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became a licensed esthetician and began specializing in lash extensions, skincare, and waxing services. What started as a small business built through word-of-mouth and social media has grown into Aesthetics and Lash, a beauty studio dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best.

Like many entrepreneurs, my path hasn’t always been straightforward. Building a business from the ground up required long hours, continuous education, and a willingness to adapt as the industry evolved. Over the years, I’ve expanded my service offerings, invested in advanced training, and focused on creating an experience where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been watching the business grow beyond just providing services. I’ve had opportunities to mentor other beauty professionals, build a loyal client community, and create a brand that reflects both quality and authenticity.

Today, Aesthetics and Lash continues to grow while staying true to its original mission: providing customized beauty services that enhance natural beauty and help clients feel like the best version of themselves. As a business owner, esthetician, and mother, I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my clients and community, and I’m excited for what the future holds.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but every obstacle or struggle has taught me something. As many entrepreneurs in the beauty industry you wear every hat in the business – from service provider, to social media manager, receptionist, bookkeeper. One lesson I’ve learned is that success doesn’t come easy or fast, you have to put in the hard work, keep pushing through whether you have 2 clients walking through the door or 100. You have to keep showing up and wear all the hats.

Growing a business is like growing a plant- you have to water it, be patient with it and in time it’ll start to grow. Through it all, I’m grateful for my family and clients who’ve supported my journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Aesthetics and Lash?
Aesthetics and Lash is a beauty studio specializing in lashes, brows, facials and beauty services that help clients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Since opening my goal has always been to create more than just a place for beauty treatments. I wanted to create an experience where clients feel welcomed, valued and cared for.

We’re known for customizing each service to fit the clients needs and wants. From customizing a lash set that compliments the clients eyes to mapping eyebrows that fit the clients face shape and features. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all.

Since opening, I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. Many of my clients have been with me for years. Their trust and support have helped Aesthetics and Lash grow.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I don’t consider myself a reckless risk taker but I do believe that growth requires a certain level of courage.

Starting my own business was one of the biggest risks I’ve taken. Nothing is certain but I continued to show up every day, invest time, energy and resources into building something meaningful. My kids have always been my biggest motivation and I want to build something they can look at one day and think “I want to do what mom did” or even better, out do me! If my journey teaches them to dream bigger, work harder and take chances on themselves then every risk has been worth it.

Being an entrepreneur has taught me that confidence isn’t about knowing exactly how everything is going to work out, it’s about trusting yourself enough to take that next step anyway.
