I founded Mooch Lactation Co. in September of 2023 after seeing a need for inclusive and individualized care in the Greater Austin Area. At Mooch we believe that neither your zip code or financial status should inhibit your potential for receiving lactation support. We are dedicated to serving all members of our community and offer affordable weekly consults for about the same cost as a bag of groceries! Mooch also uses a third party language service to interpret our consults into over 240 diverse languages, truly offering support to anyone, anywhere. We accept insurance, private pay and offer individualized care starting at just $20.
As a Mom I know how personal a breastfeeding journey can feel, and with Mooch we strive to make every family feel seen, heard and supported. Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding or even exclusively formula feeding, we are here to answer any infant feeding questions and help you meet your goals- whatever that may be!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although I am still in my 30’s (albeit late) I struggle with technology. Social media trends, marketing and getting in front of the right audience was a struggle for me initially. But, after several months of trying I realized that making meaningful connections within my community and building authentic bonds with other birth professionals can be a mainline for referrals while also creating a continuum of care.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am a widow! The father of my 2 children, Sean, passed away from a very rare and aggressive renal cancer in 2021. I found out I passed my IBCLC exam while he was in ICU only minutes before we were told – there was nothing else the doctors could do. My late husband was my biggest supporter and I am grateful that he and I shared a small moment of celebration in some of our darkest times. He told me, “Now I know you got this,” and he was right.
