Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Mellott.
Hi Heather, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started working in photography, videography, marketing, web design, graphic design, and consulting almost 9 years ago. While I was in college, I started doing freelance projects with my now husband. He is also in the marketing field. He taught me a lot of what I know and with my years of experience working with small and large companies on a variety of projects. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart and when I found a field I was interested in to make a living, I wanted to make it something more than just a side hobby.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has had its ups and downs like any business. During covid, we say the most spontaneity in our client work. We had a large increase of small business monthly marketing clients, which was great. We also say a lot of other businesses pull back their marketing spending due to budget cuts. Sometimes there is a learning process like anything when working with a new client or project. I like the challenge and love seeing how happy clients are with the work we do. I think communication is key.
