Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Nelson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My husband Brett Nelson started the business from a small amount of items his parents had purchased at a “start your own small business seminar” in the late 90’s. He was a single dad and in between jobs and thought…” what the hell lets go for it”
We have known eachother since high school (Anderson) born and raised in Austin and reconnected in our early 30’s. Married now for 10 years (11-7-15)
I had always been in the hospitality event industry so I quit my job and we joined forces. It was the only move that made sense when our son was diagnised as deaf and with a rare form of epilepsy. We needed to be a team!
16 years later we have a full staff and 5200 square foot warehouse and no more working out of our house.
97% of our business is repeat clients and referrals. We take pride in our business and are true entrepreneurs. We run a family buisness with heart and take care of our team as well as our cliuents like family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Working out of home and trying to find employees with similar work ethics has always been our biggest challenge….but we have figured that out.

Balloon Decorations, arches, colums, garlands and specialty sculptures ( currently making the skyline for city of Waco)

Being a small family owned business is truly the dream. It is not for the faint of heart though,
We work hard and have pride in what we do. We aslo support small businesses as well and appreciate the support we have recived from all of our repeat business.
