Meet Aubreea Garrett of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubreea Garrett

Hi AuBreea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a mom of two. I moved to Texas in 2020 during Covid with the father of my child and my two kids. We’ve been in Texas ever since. We are originally from Clarksville Tennessee. We have no family out here. When I moved here, the only thing that was open during Covid were the strip clubs. I have a previous history in dancing. So that was right up my alley after a year or two of dancing in Killeen, Texas I took my talent to Austin, Texas, and have been dancing there ever since. I am currently casted on a reality TV show for dancers. I’m currently in school to become a real estate agent. I’m slowly transitioning out of the club life.and focusing more on my real estate studies as well as entrepreneur work as an entertainer.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not been a smooth road here in Texas. Moving somewhere with no family support and not knowing anybody has definitely been a struggle. I’ve met some people that did not have good intentions for me as well as rented out places with terrible landlords that just wanted to make money. Went through situations getting cars from terrible car lots that just wanted to scam their customers. I’ve made a couple of good friends here but all in all I really enjoy Texas. I would like to stay a few more years.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently am in School to be a real estate agent, but my full-time job for the past four years since I’ve been in Texas is entertainer. I am an entertainer that specializes in pole. I have history with modeling as well as modeling for music videos. I go by the name, Demi, the goddess or Zolina. The stage name, Demi the goddess was created up north when I started dancing circa 2014.. I am most proud of moving to a state where the odds are stacked against me and making things happen for myself and my family, no matter what. I believe I am in the right area for the proper networking and opportunities to further my career. What sets me apart from others is that I am one of a kind. Heart of gold, loyalty like no other, but can be rough around the edges.. Sharp edges so watch out ha ha but I will love you like no other friend or family.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I started dancing almost 10 years ago a little over 10 years ago I believe so I would advise ladies that are interested in the dance life world to take classes. I am self-taught. But you learn actual technique when you go to classes. And also talk to some ladies that are in the industry veterans specifically. To learngems, do’s and don’ts of the club. Don’t go by what you see on social media. It’s been glamorized and it’s not realistic of what your dance career will be like. The only thing I wish I knew starting out was that I started at 18. I would definitely be retired by now ha ha
