Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce Thompson-Trueheart.
Hi Bryce, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Founded and created by Bryce Thompson-Trueheart and Amanda Cantu.
Amanda Cantu holds a degree in Mortuary Science and Licensure in Texas. Amanda has been in the death care industry for 8 years starting from the Rio Grande Valley to Austin Tx and surrounding. Amanda Cantu’s father Clemente Cantu is who inspired her to be a mortician and open a crime scene clean up business. Clemente Cantu was in law enforcement for 22 years in the Rio Grande Valley with a few years as a crime scene investigator which inspired Amanda to be a mortician and later open her own crime scene clean up business. Bryce Thompson-Trueheart who also hs 8 years in the death care industry starting with working on cemetery grounds and later into assisting funeral services and transporting of picking up people from their places of death. Upon Bryce starting at a mortuary where Amanda Cantu worked at they both decided to take the leap and start the crime scene clean up business along with transportion. Trueheart Professional Services not only is a crime scene clean up business but we also partner with funeral homes to pick up people from their places of death as well…making it a full circle business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road because both of us came into the business with experience in the death care industry. We already understood the importance of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail, which helped us build a strong foundation from the beginning.
Of course, like any business, there have still been challenges along the way. Building a company from the ground up takes a lot of time, trust, and dedication. We had to learn how to balance running the business while also serving families during difficult moments in their lives. But those experiences helped us grow stronger as business partners and reinforced why we started Trueheart Pro Services in the first place.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Trueheart Pro Services specializes in professional death care transport services. We work closely with funeral homes, medical examiners, and families to provide respectful, reliable, and compassionate care during some of life’s most difficult moments. Our goal is to bring professionalism and dignity to every call we respond to.
Because of our background and experience in the death care industry, we understand how important trust, communication, and attention to detail are in this line of work. We are known for being dependable, professional, and treating every individual in our care with the same level of respect we would want for our own families.
One thing we are especially proud of is making our services affordable and accessible. We know families are already dealing with emotional and financial stress during a loss, and we never wanted to become one of those large companies charging extremely high prices just because families feel they have no other option. We believe people deserve quality, compassionate service without being overwhelmed by excessive costs. Other crime scene clean up companies start off with $2k just for basic services…even that alone especially in this economy is too high. We make it affordable and tailor to every families needs.
What sets us apart is the level of compassion, professionalism, and personal care we bring to the job. For us, this is more than just transportation — it is about serving families with dignity, empathy, and fairness every single day.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
One of the things we love most about Austin is the sense of community. Even though the city has grown so much, people here still look out for one another and support local businesses. Austin has a unique culture that blends diversity, compassion, and hard work, and we are proud to serve families in this community. We also appreciate how welcoming and connected people are, especially during difficult times when support matters most.
What we like least is how quickly the city is growing and how expensive things have become for many families. As a business that works closely with people during emotional and stressful moments, we see firsthand how rising costs can affect them. That is one reason why we work hard to keep our services affordable and accessible while still providing professional and compassionate care.
