Community Highlights: Meet Prachi Gadiya of Haveli Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Prachi Gadiya.

Hi Prachi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m currently a Realtor in the Austin, TX metro area. My journey in how I became a Realtor is a bit unconventional. I previously had a conventional path where I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an Economics degree and started working for Accenture, a consulting company. After working for a few years and renting, I was ready to buy my first house. I wanted to buy a house because I was tired of throwing my money down the drain from renting and was ready to build equity. However, being new to the home buying world I didn’t know what area was good, what was a decent home, or even how big of a home I should get. I quickly realized the Realtor I was working with was not able to provide these consultative-type answers for me. He was good at finding a house if I told him I wanted a 3bedroom, 2bath home in a certain zip code. That is when I realized there is a gap in the real estate market. Realtors were not able to provide consultative advice to help me achieve my goal of buying a home that will grow in equity. Coming from a consultative background I thought I would be able to fill the gap. Now I see myself as a Real Estate Consultant for my clients. I work with my husband who is also a Realtor/Real Estate Consultant. We consult with about 40 people per year to help them realize and achieve personal Realestate ownership and investment goals. It has been very fulfilling to directly make a difference in people’s lives and within our city.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
All paths to success come with their own sets of challenges. As an example, when working with home buyers, it can be challenging because it has been a seller’s market in the Austin TX area. A seller’s market means the market is in favor of a seller and less favorable for a buyer.

Our goal is to bring power to our clients regardless of market conditions. We do so by (1) Constantly and relentlessly studying the market and pinpointing pockets of available options (even if limited) across Austin and surrounding areas. (2) We study those potential options to understand their pros and cons (every option has them) and (3) We built a consultative and shoulder to shoulder strategy with our buyer clients that, allows us to effectively understand their needs, tie those back to our market knowledge and then create and execute on a plan of action for a successful purchase. We found that our approach allows our buyers to quickly feel empowered to make the right decision for them despite the market condition. Working with a home buyer gives us direct insight into how a buyer thinks so in contrast when we are supporting a client to sell their home we give timely and relevant insight into what the potential buyer is looking for!

Having bought and sold homes myself, I understand that a real estate transaction is an investment that needs to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the process can be very tiring and gruesome if tackled alone.

I strongly believe that finding real estate shouldn’t be your full-time job and this is why I aim to offer highly tailored consulting so that I can be most effective together with my clients. Through my end-to-end and hands-on approach, I aim to bring power to my clients regardless of market conditions. Most of our business is from satisfied clients referring to their family and friends.

Through this experience and my journey, I have built a system with people, process, and trust that help our clients and partners buy and sell Real-Estate. I also have some exciting news to share as well, I recently became a broker and am planning to build a team of realtors that could expand on what we do to help as many people as possible attain their Real Estate goals. What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Austin is such an eclectic city, I love exploring and seeing the growth of the city. It is changing rapidly with brand new communities, delicious restaurants, festivals and growing indoor and outdoor attractions. I’m excited to be a part of the growth. I wish there was more infrastructure to help accommodate the growth we are seeing. However, I am willing to be patient and wait for the infrastructure to develop with the many plans and projects in the works. Austin is home and I love it here!
