Today we’d like to introduce you to Aebee Acozsta.
Hi Aebee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
After graduating from High School, I had no plans to go to college. I felt college wasn’t necessary and thought; I can find a different career one that I am truly passionate about and doesn’t require to go to college. I really wanted to build a career in fashion and design my own clothing line, so I decided to become a model. I always had friends and family that would tell me I should be a model, and what better way to start a career in fashion by becoming a Fashion Model. I began to Investigate on how to become a model, did my own research, and knew this was going to be a difficult journey; However, I didn’t let that from stopping me. I knew that by being disciplined and by always being the hardest worker in the room, I can achieve greatness. “So, what did I do?” I got into the gym, got in shape, took modeling lessons, and then looked at an agency who could represent me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a difficult road for me, and it continues to be. I’ve been laughed at, criticized, seen down on just because I didn’t take the easy route like going to college or becoming an electrician just like my dad. It just wasn’t for me! So, I made a vouch to myself that I was going to risk it all. That I have no other choice, this is the only way I either give it all I got or die trying, there is no turning back anymore. I’ve invested so much time, sacrifice, and energy into it. It would be foolish of me to ever decide to quit. There’s so many people that are counting on me to succeed; I can’t let those people down. Those are the people giving me the encouragement to keep trying and inspire others to do the same as well.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a model trying to make a name for myself in the fashion industry to later compete against brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, or Ralph Lauren. I specialize myself with modeling and a fashion influencer for others. I’m most proud of my hard work and dedication I have from others. I have a winner mentality, I always want to be the best, and anything I can set my mind to I can accomplish. No one has my work ethic, no one outworks me, and this is what sets me apart from others it’s my mentality to always wanting to achieve more and more.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always that kid trying to fit in with everyone else, always wanted to be liked by everyone else. But by doing that, I was always trying to hide the encouragement I have. Because I was afraid of being different and being judged by other people. Then I realized that none of that should even matter to me anymore; who cares if I’m different? Who cares what people think of me. Why am I trying to be someone I’m not? At the end of the day, I’m not letting those people keep me away from being someone great.
