Conversations with Odra Lopez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Odra Lopez.

Hi Odra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My name is Odra Lopez, co-owner at AREGADESIGNS, and this is my story. I am a proud first-generation immigrant in Texas, and I am always very grateful for all the good things that this country has given me. I am happily married to Arturo Reyes, a graphic designer and co-founder of AREGADESIGNS.

Mother of 3 children, two dogs, and 3 cats

Whether it is Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, or Hutto, I am very proud to be able to serve and treat each of my customers the way I would like to be treated, with honesty, quality, and the best customer service possible.

I am a dreamer and a fighter, but the most important thing is that I was able to open my own business thanks to our hard work ethic and the passion that I have for what I DO!

All the things that I have today have been built ONE STEP AT THE TIME!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I knew that entering the Austin market wouldn’t be easy as there are many businesses out there competing, especially in the screen-printing business, but that would not stop me as we continue to fight for our dream of the development of our business. We are also a Mexican-American family that has to fight even more to achieve our goals. AREGADESIGNS has been fortunate to serve clients in many states within the USA and Mexico.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Arturo Reyes, my husband, is our graphic designer and co-founder of AREGADESIGNS. We founded AREGADESIGNS in 2006, realizing that I love sales and my partner loves graphic design. We have more than 25 years of experience in embroidery and screen printing, and because of that, we knew that we would be the dream team in the market. In addition to being able to serve the growing American market, we would also be able to serve the Hispanic market, and that is our greatest satisfaction.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the free spirit of Austin, abundance of outdoor activities, friendly people, very mixed cultural population, just love love to keep it weird!
