Hi Beth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m the Founder and “Chief Bot” of MeBeBot, an AI Intelligent Assistant for the workplace. I started my professional career in Human Resources, as my goal was to support both employees and their companies to have a positive and meaningful work experience. I gained skills and experiences in all facets of HR, from talent acquisition to focus on career development of employees in all types of industries. After 15+ years in HR, I had an opportunity to shift my career into software sales, as a solutions consultant to the retail industry, at the time when omnichannel retailing was coming to fruition (combining mobile, eCommerce and in-store retail sales together). I learned that retailers and brands who focused on their customer experience (CX) benefited by improved overall revenues and happy customers.
With the adoption of chatbots to support customer service teams and the expansion of collaboration tools (like Slack and Teams), I realized that the concepts of CX need to be brought into organizations to support the Employee Experience (EX) so that work is more meaningful, especially with global/distributed teams and with hybrid work here to stay.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Launching a software-as-a-service company is never easy, as you have to develop and build scaleable technologies that work and can grow with your customers. Not only does the solution need to be technically reliable, it has to be easy to use, easy to maintain, secure, and affordable.
When software is sold on a subscription basis, it takes time to grow revenues, so often, outside investment dollars are required. When MeBeBot was founded, it was a year before the pandemic began. We were experiencing solid growth, but we had to shift gears, as our core buyers were in HR and IT…teams that were on the front lines, working to set up employees to work remotely (often for the first time ever). Additionally, we were kicking off our fundraising process, and investors did not know how to evaluate and “write checks” for companies and people they have never met in person.
However, we raised an angel round of funding, and we’ve grown our customer base, as hybrid work has exposed gaps within companies and they need solutions, like MeBeBot, that help support employees’ FAQs, communicate to employees, and gather their feedback, to keep their finger on the pulse of their people with all the changes in workplaces.
As you know, we’re big fans of MeBeBot, Inc.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
MeBeBot is like the “Alexa” for the workplace and our AI Intelligent Assistant automates answers to ALL employees’ FAQs and drives communications and employee engagement.

Our customers have launched MeBeBot to their employees in weeks, so that employees gain support 24/7 from anywhere in the world. We free up valuable time for IT, HR, Facilities, Benefits, Payroll, and Operations team members, so that they can be more productive and focus on strategic tasks that impact the business.
We save companies (500-10,000 employees) between $250K to $1M in operational cost savings within months, to reallocate resources or dollars to other projects/work. Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
As a child, I loved taking family road trips. My dad was in the military, so we moved 8 times before I was 12 years old. Learning to be adaptable and flexible to new surroundings was a survival skill as an “Army Brat.” We lived in many states across the U.S., so it allowed us to also explore new areas around our new homes.
