Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Merida.
Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been an Entrepreneur my entire life I grew up watching my dad Manage his own Restaurant and Catering Business that of which are still flourishing today. I always knew I wanted to be my own Boss but I went through a lot of trial and error discovering what I truly was passionate about. I attended Wiley College 2011-2013 and as a struggling college student a light turned on and the rest was history I was majoring in Business and Hospitality so rather than waiting I applied a lot of what I was learning to the things I had going in the moment. I begin designing custom Bow ties that of which went International and allowed me to travel all over the world Known on Campus as the Vintage Queen I turned my passion into a paycheck literally. I took my college refund check and found a small bldg. A few miles from our school, I met the owner and convinced him to lease me a small room to open a clothing boutique. This boutique got me through college and attached to an unmatched number of opportunities… This space allowed so many other creatives to share their talents as well from fashion, poetry, art, dance This small book became a start for many.
Now, here we are in 2021 And I’m going to be Opening up one of the First Black Owned Cooperative Event spaces (The Jungle ATX) in Downtown Austin along with Managing Merida.B LLC. Which is a Full service Agency specializing in Speciality Events, Brand Management, Bow ties and more.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road more than often my dreams exceed the Budget but one thing I have learned is that it’s so much Power in not giving up and no matter what just keep going. If you stay in a positive headspace and surrounded by positive people it’s easier to keep rising.

Merida.B LLC is a Full Service Agency specializing in Speciality & cooperate events, weddings, Event and Brand management. Also Co-Owner of ATX Certified Artistic Co-op Event space located Downtown Austin. This will be the Ultimate creative Haven for all Artistic Creatives available for Events, Photoshoots, Videos. Wi-do use, courses etc. Meridab Bowtie Custom accessories and one of a kind designs.
What sets me apart from others is I’m Me lol in every space I always bring Love and Joy to any space I hold; I work hard for what I want and I don’t stop until I get it. I love to get network and create opportunities for everyone that’s around me.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
To keep God first. Surround yourself with Good Vibes only Never stop Believing in YOU.
