Hi Franco, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, our journey as a product agency began, fueled by years of dreams, discussions, and attempts. Our team consists of four partners who have known each other since our youth. Over time, we ventured into diverse career paths, exploring creative agencies, software development firms, and design agencies. However, our shared vision of establishing a product agency never ceased to be a topic of conversation. This led us to create Revolt, an entity that amalgamates the finest practices from the creative, technical, and design industries, emerging as a powerhouse of product development.
From the outset, we strive to assist our clients by leveraging our profit architecture suite to construct products that embody success, captivation, and above all, profitability. We’ve witnessed numerous companies stumble by adopting a “free money” mindset, developing exquisite products that failed to generate profits for years. When the inevitable downturn arrived, those companies met their demise. In contrast, our approach upends this model. We not only emphasize the creation of engaging, visually stunning, and technically proficient products but also prioritize the operational aspects, marketing strategies, and overall business preparedness for sustained success.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our journey hasn’t been without obstacles, particularly within the current economic climate, which is considered one of the most challenging in decades. Companies are hesitant to invest in new ventures, making the path forward a bumpy one. We’ve encountered clients who fully embraced the process and experienced tremendous success, while others expected us to perform miracles without their active involvement. Our philosophy revolves around co-creation and co-ideation, necessitating the active participation and dedication of all parties involved.
In addition, we faced challenges during a hyper-growth phase in 2021, which caught us off guard and revealed areas where our processes required refinement and increased efficiency. This period took its toll on us, but we persevered and emerged stronger than before. While 2021 was a remarkable year for us and 2022 proved satisfactory, we are currently navigating a rough patch in 2023. However, we remain confident that everything will eventually stabilize. As companies prepare for the new context, complexities are likely to persist, but we are determined to adapt and thrive.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
Luck often plays a part, even if we tend to overlook it. An instance of this occurred when our first significant client entered the picture through a friend I had reached out to. Just a week after discussing Revolt, my friend received a call from someone in need of assistance in designing a groundbreaking Hiring platform. Recognizing the potential, my friend connected us, leading to several fruitful conversations and ultimately initiating the project. As they later hired a CEO, who held us in high regard, he graciously referred us to an additional four clients. None of this would have materialized if I had missed that crucial call with my friend.
What we often label as luck is, in reality, a combination of seizing opportunities, unwavering perseverance, and maintaining an open mindset. It is about recognizing the chances that present themselves and having the courage to pursue them. By remaining receptive to the possibilities that arise, we create our own luck and set the stage for favorable outcomes.
