Hidden Gems: Meet Megan Nash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Nash.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a very young age, I’ve had a passion for food and wellness. My childhood was filled with time in the kitchen experimenting with different recipes. Whenever special occasions and birthdays rolled around, I loved to bake something special, recognizing early on that food is something to celebrate and share. Baking and cooking turned into a passion of mine, which eventually sparked my interest in the nutrition world. I loved researching different ingredients and how they affected our bodies and soon started experimenting with alternatives in baking to see how they made me feel.

During my early twenties, a host of health challenges arose. I developed horrible fatigue, digestive issues, joint pain, and leaky gut that kept me from living at my fullest potential. After seeing a few different doctors and nutritionists, I learned I had developed sensitivities to many foods including gluten, dairy, eggs and some other foods and that a family history of autoimmune disease was likely to blame. Eliminating these foods from my diet was a struggle, but I soon learned how much better I felt without them. I started to research more about nutrition and the power of plants, and the benefits that different foods can have on our bodies. Eventually, the inflammatory markers on my functional tests went down, and my energy levels went up. I felt like a new person and knew I wanted to share this feeling with others.

When searching for replacements for my food sensitivities, my inner child was reawakened – I started to get creative in the kitchen. I now love to share my allergy-friendly recipes on my Instagram and website in hopes that I can help others who have similar sensitivities or just want to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Along my journey, I began to see the importance of self-care and a holistic approach to overall wellness. Seeing the power of food as medicine changed my life, and I knew I wanted to use this knowledge and passion to pursue a career in the nutrition and health industry. I took a major leap when I quit my steady job in fashion, enrolled in a nutrition program, and eventually started my nutrition health coaching business. I now help clients find the root causes of their symptoms and establish nutritional protocols to enhance their wellbeing. Everyone deserves to thrive at their optimal health, and my goal is to empower as many people as possible to live the vibrant lives they envision for themselves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although my journey was difficult, I am so grateful it has brought me to where I am today. I believe that my personal health issues gave me so much more clarity and understanding in helping clients with similar struggles. After years of fatigue, gut issues, inflammation and toxic overload, I have finally learned how much a healthy diet, lifestyle changes and high-quality supplements can turn things around. I want to give people tools (and easy hacks!) to navigate their environment, reduce stress and heal their bodies through food.

As for starting my business, I had to shake the mindset that I needed to be fully ready to launch. It was hard for me to let go of that “perfectionist” mentality and just go for it. My biggest obstacle was finally getting over this resistance and accepting that each small step (and mistake!) will lead to something greater.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a holistic health coach focused on helping clients achieve their optimal potential. I specialize in gut health, hormones, fatigue, digestion, detoxification and food sensitivities. My mission is to help others find the root cause of their symptoms and help them build healthy nutritional and lifestyle habits so they can feel great!

I take a deep dive into my client’s health history and together we devise a plan to help them feel their best through a functional approach. It is so important to slowly implement diet and lifestyle changes and my nutritional protocols lead the way for a transformational process that helps clients reboot their health one step at a time. I help people navigate the sometimes overwhelming selection of food choices, as well as look for hidden stressors and internal and external influences that are hindering their progress.

Plus, I am frequently asked to share my gluten and dairy-free hacks – which I regularly share on my Instagram. Yes, you can still enjoy great food if you are gluten and dairy-free. Let me help you!
