Inspiring Conversations with Shanice Davis of Tradehouse Investment Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanice Davis.

Hi Shanice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Basketball legend the late Kobe Bryant prolifically reverberated, “The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.” This profound statement has always resonated with me and has become the motivating factor in all my life pursuits and endeavors.

My name is Shanice Davis. I am a digital business owner that specializes in multi-level marketing and investing, in which I immensely enjoy. I am what they consider a ‘military brat’ raised in Killeen, Texas. Both of my parents are retired veterans. My mother is a Registered Nurse, author, model and entrepreneur. She was one of the top directors in Mary Kay. My father passionately volunteers by coaching in the community. In the beginning of my basketball upbringing, and throughout my basketball career, I had the distinct honor to be coached by my father. My father taught me the fundamental skills of the game of basketball and instilled a winner mentality in me at a tender age. Despite of my disparity in height, I was able to overcome that and excelled in sports through my willpower and mental toughness.

School was challenging for me since I was dyslexic and had terrible acne. Playing sports was my outlet created excitement and brought me happiness. Through the sports platform, I was able to effectively connect with others through camaraderie.

I had the honor of receiving an athletic scholarship in 2012 for basketball at McLennan Community College. During the two years there, I have done relatively well both academically and athletically. In2014, I was extended an opportunity to transfer toNew Mexico State University on a scholarship. During the two years at New Mexico State University, we created a winning program for the school and secured back-to-back NCAA WAC Championships. We also appeared in the NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball Tournament. While in college, I was a part of the student- athlete advisory committee and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

After my college days came to an end, I found it was not easy to secure the type of positions I wanted although I have a degree. It was often said, “get good grades, go to college, then you can get a good job.” Unfortunately, the type of jobs I applied for were all in the financial services sector at that time. I went through the interview process, but employers would not take a chance on me because I did not have the required experience. I was a bit perturbed and discouraged, however I decided to proactively find a job where I could acquire the experience and then diligently pursued again. My opportunity came, and I started working at Rue21. I worked for Rue21 seven months, after that, I went back to attempt for the bank position and to my surprise, I was rejected again. This time it was because someone else had more overall experience than me. At that moment, I knew then that it was a different type of playing field. I decided to move to Austin, TX, so I could look for better opportunities. I found myself working different sales and tech jobs for the next four years. I even became a licensed insurance agent. Every job I worked at was helpful in my young adult life, but I needed something more fulfilling that I wouldn’t have to exchange so much time for money.

The turning point for me came in December of 2020, where I was on social media, and I noticed a friend that I modeled with, posted on her page about an opportunity that would create multiple sources of income. I was elated and enthralled about that, and I decided to reach out inquiring to obtain more information. The next day I got on a zoom meeting, and that meeting completely changed my perspective on how I was living. I was inspired by the positive culture to make a real impact on others and the blueprint to gain financial security in a plethora of ways. I felt like it was divine timing, and I was ready to take the risk, therefore I was compelledto sign up that night. This unique opportunity not only has enriched my mind but my vibrations. It has given me my purpose in life and my time back. I have learned a skill that I can forever use to create income and help anyone do the same. I pride myself in waking up to impact as many people as possible with opportunities. In a such a relatively short period of time, I have been able to impact over 12 lives by expanding their mindset and showing them resources needed to become financially independent. The information I have accumulated is something that can transcend to many generations and truly change the trajectory of one’s life.

Alright, so let us dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“Tough times never last, only tough people do.” (Robert Schuller) As I have gone through the vicissitudes of life, it has not always been easy. Without any previous history in investing in the markets, it created a new challenge for me. Like Frank A Clark said, “If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere”. This business will test your faith and willpower to progress forward. I am not perfect, but I strive to dobetter every day. In dealing with the various challenges faced in this business, some of the things I am proficient in concerning my growth and development are:

What are your plans for the future?
This business has so many opportunities to grow and develop as a person. You not only go through obstacles, but also grow through the obstacles that are presented. This is how one can become a better mentor through experience. I love being able to say I have overcome an obstacle thrown in my way or working on overcoming it. It is never an ‘if’ situation but more so of a ‘when’ type of situation. I am most excited about being the person that can truly help others achieve their goals and aspirations in life. Helping others get what they want in life eventually gets you what you want! I am looking forward to creating at least 12 six figure earners! Short term plan is to impact 500 lives by the start of January 2022. Long term plan is to impact at least over 750,000 lives. I am truly honored when I’m able to improve the quality of one’s life by becoming apositive influence and resource. Ultimately, my goal is to leave a perpetual mark that can never be erased.
