Hi Jodee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a heart for music. I started young, putting on Apollo shows in my living room with my cousins and friends. I spent countless hours with my notebook. That gave me the confidence and drive to want to be an artist.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggle is just a part of the journey. This road has been long and I’ve probably experienced every emotion. But it’s all been worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an artist out of Houston, Texas. I would say I specialize in r&b / hip hop or alternative rap. I’m known in my city for bringing a vibe and clever lyrics. I am proud to be able to motivate the youth and those in my community. My music connects. It comes from a genuine place.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was extremely active. Always outside playing rough with the guys. I started playing basketball when I was around 5 or 6. Super outgoing and talkative. I actually had hoop dreams at one point.
