Today we’d like to introduce you to Eleni Ottalagana. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Eleni is a Registered Dietitian, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and Reiki Master. She specializes women’s health and PCOS. While working with Eleni, women can expect to utilize integrative tools and functional nutrition approaches to achieving better health. This may include nutrition & lifestyle counseling, mindset coaching and lab testing.
Eleni has been “training” since a young girl. Fascinated by holistic healing as young as five years old, she would accompany her mother on Saturdays to work at the local apothecary. From there, she discovered the world of functional and integrative medicine. She has gained experience working in private practice, studying the Mediterranean diet and sustainable farming methods in Italy, spending time with herbalists in Costa Rice and completing integrative health coaching courses outside of her formal nutrition training.
Due to personal health challenges, Eleni continued to understand and appreciate holistic approaches to achieving better health.
In her teens and early twenties, she struggled with autoimmunity and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which severely impacted her quality of life.
Her will to lead a healthy life free of diagnoses and medications launched her on a personal healing journey. Through a whole-body approach, her education and support from holistic practitioners, she was able to bring my body back into balance.
She is passionate about giving other women the same tools that radically changed her life.
We’ve been impressed with Women’s Nutrition Clinic, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Women’s Nutrition Clinic exists in order to help improve health care for women and to help empower women when it comes to their health.
Women deserve to be educated about their health and advocate for what they need when it comes to taking care of their bodies.
We live in a busy, chaotic and stressful environment. Now more than ever, women are taking on a lot of responsibilities and oftentimes putting their health on the back burner and ultimately pushing off their deepest desires and biggest dreams.
As a female, I can say to women reading this that you deserve better. You deserve better health and a fulfilling, purposeful life.
If you don’t feel good physically, you can’t show up the best version of yourself.
Beyond specializing in women’s health, I also support women with PCOS.
I offer a unique structure through the care I provide to my clients. This includes addressing the underlying root causes, utilizing individualized nutrition and lifestyle tools and more. I carefully crafted services to fill the gaps I’ve seen when we are addressing PCOS or women’s health in other settings.
Clients can expect a transformative process through coaching, education, and easy to implement tools.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I believe health represents our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. On a daily basis, I am utilizing tools to support each of these.
This includes reading, some of my favorites are – When Things Fall Apart, The Untethered Soul, The Daily Stoic.
Nature is one of my favorite tools- I spend time daily walking, swimming, biking, hiking or find a way to be outside for at least a bit of time.
This might be a bit of a different response, but I also believe in the healing that a balanced life provides. Just spending time cooking, dancing, meditating or meeting up with my community helps me to be the best version of myself. I also think it’s easy to overcomplicate life and overstimulate ourselves with too many resources.
I find so much joy and happiness in a minimalist, creative, low stimulatory and community-filled life.
