Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Clauser. Them and their team share their story with us below:
The Oink Mobile is a family-owned food truck servicing the North Austin area. Mom Heather, son Tyler, and daughter Emily. Competed on the Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race Season 13. We liked it so much we bought a food truck and operated full time at The Good Lot in Cedar Park.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We started working together in Tucson Arizona in our family-owned business. Family strife with Heather’s siblings caused Heather and her kids to leave the family business and move to Texas to start fresh. And if you watched The show on Food Network, you’ll see that the road definitely had some bumps. We didn’t finish the way we would have liked. The fire was unfortunate and hard to recover from.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We operate The Oink Mobile. It’s a food truck with all things pork. We are proud of the following we’ve created as well as bringing our delicious food to Texas.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Perseverance by myself and my kids Tyler and Emily is something that has helped us create a successful brand. We strive for perfection with each and every item/ recipe we prepare never serving anything we don’t love ourselves.
