Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Little
Hi Jonathan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi so my story goes as a young business owner in San Antonio I started doing events with my record label called Soniquarium so we had a way to release music through our own imprint. Since then we have released over 100 songs and with artists around the world. Our tracks have topped the beatport charts starting in 2014 all the way into 2024. We have printed our own vinyl in 2023 and plan to grow through events in 2024. Currently we have shows in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio. We sign up and coming artist and help with artist development. I am the label owner and founded the label with Eric Ross in early 2000s in San Antonio. Our mission is to provide a way to release music for up and coming artists. Provide a path for growth and to sign music based on quality of producer and not popularity of the dj.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We had been doing events for a long time since 2005 but only recently gained some steam ahead with Austins: Zkosta (Zach) and Dalla’s XDecend (Max) who are part of the new generation of musicians in Texas that really helped build up our events and following through our marketing tools of posh.vip. Now with over 2,000 loyal fans in Texas and California we are expanding our group and working to give up and coming artist set times in underground followings and be apart of the Soniquarium fam.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am also a artist and Dj under the name Brav0 and I have played with DJ Tiesto 3x and Above and Beyond and Benny Benassi. I was charted for a hit in 2014 called trust in love and also held a residency at Avalon night club in hollywood for touring djs. Set some records for the most bravomaniacs to show up to a show at hollywoods historic venue.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being truthful and honest with who works with you and leading by example. People appreciate hard work and when they see it they want to be apart of what your doing.
