Today we’d like to introduce you to Lara Grosso
Hi Lara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Where do I start, born and raised in Austin, Texas. I have seen alot of changes here in this city. I am someome that loves to explore new places and learn new things whenever I get the chance.
I do love designing sneakers, shirts and hats. I do have my own shoe line, that I do on the side (it is nothing big). It is just a hovvir of mine. I have always wanted to have a business that is unique and different like myself and the city i live in. I have worked on in in a couple years, cause of personal reasons. I am a person that needs a creative outlet. I love collecting sneakers and unique looking shirts.
I thrive on being different. I love how Auatin used to embrace being weird and not caring what others think. The place i work now is a mixture of all.kimds of people from all places and backgrounds. You don’t need a huge circle.of friends to feel comfortable or feel included. If you have a small circle of people you trust and know they have your back att all times, then you have nothing to worry about. Inthink I have always live by is “famiglia è tutto”, it means family is everything in Italian.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My whole life I have worked hard for everything and anything I want in life. I have always been told nothing comes easy in life, unless you try and never give up. I have a tattoo that says “take a chance”. If you never take a chance in life, what will you accomplish.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am someone that loves to see how things work. I help my mom take apart computers, dvd/vcr players, televisions, cause I was curious about how they worked.
Also designing shoes, shirts or hats also give me an idea of how the process works.
What makes you happy?
Being my family, cooking, my babies (my pets). My grandmother and mother taught me how to cook. I always put my family first. Any time I try a new recipe I ask my family their honest opinion. My babies, mean the world to me. I also like to say I have a small.zoo at home. I feel I can truly be myself around them.
