Conversations with Cuídate LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cuídate LLC.

Cuídate LLC

Hi Cuídate, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We are Latina and sister owned. We were born and raised in Illinois and moved to Austin after graduating college. All our lives our grandmother was in Mexico and would end the phone call with the word “Cuídate”, which means to take care. That one word impacted us so much being thousands of miles away from her. We only were able to see her a few times throughout our lives, but we are grateful for her always looking out for us and wishing us the best as first gens in the United States. We want to spread the importance of taking care of yourself and spreading love to the world, just like our grandmother would to us.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road but we’ve managed to push through. We moved states from Illinois to Texas leaving our family behind. We knew no one in Austin but were determined to make the sacrifice of our move worthy. Dealing with feeling lonely at the beginning, being first gen business owners with no mentor, in a whole new state has taught us so much. We are so thankful to look back at time and not be or feel like we first did when we moved here.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People could support us by recognizing and spreading awareness to self love. You are your greatest project you will ever work on, take care of yourself. We are an online clothing brand at the moment but have bigger goals in mind for the future. By shopping Cuídate you are supporting a Latina business, first gen ed, and first gen business owners. Sharing our website/social media can go far for us and could help us reach another supporter.
