Today we’d like to introduce you to Arpitha Kowtal
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started our journey as a fun channel when our daughter Aarya, at just 2 years old, was already speaking both Kannada and Telugu fluently. We made a translation video showcasing her language skills, and to our surprise, it went viral overnight. By the age of 3, she had also picked up English, and she quickly became the heart and soul of our channel. Arjun and I have been her biggest supporters, and together, we became a team. People loved what we were doing and kept asking for more, so we dove into content creation. Since then, we’ve been sharing family vlogs, travel stories, food, lifestyle, and much more. Thanks to the incredible love and support from our audience, we continue to grow, stay motivated, and share our journey with the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not, nothing worthwhile comes easy. We’ve faced plenty of bumps along the way, especially when experimenting with different types of content. There have been times when we thought a video would really resonate with our audience, and we’d put a lot of effort into it, only for it to not hit the mark at all. You just never know! We tried a variety of things—dancing as a family, day vlogs, travel stories, staycations, what we eat kind of videos and more—rather than sticking to just one type of content. It takes a lot of effort to keep our audience continuously engaged and to maintain that connection, but the challenge has been worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I worked as a software engineer for about 8 years before taking a break when Aarya was born. Now, I’m a full-time content creator, and what I’m most proud of is making the decision to step back from my previous career to focus on parenting. I thoroughly enjoyed that time and have no regrets, as it allowed me to discover a new passion that has become my profession today. Change can be a really good thing, and for me, it led to a fulfilling new chapter in life. What sets me apart is my journey from tech to creative, and the balance I’ve found between family and career.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I definitely consider myself a risk-taker. I believe in the mantra “take the risk or lose the chance.” One of the biggest risks I took was leaving my comfortable, well-paying 9-to-5 job at Oracle to move to Mexico. It was a huge leap into the unknown—new country, new experiences, and learning along the way. And when we moved to the USA, it was yet another big change, embracing a completely new life and new stories. For me, as long as it’s something you can sustain, taking risks is essential. We only get one life, so why not live it to the fullest? There are no second chances, so I embrace the uncertainty and growth that come with taking risks.
